Abstract

This master thesis deals with the topic of the design and the technical solution of the body of a sports car. It deals with the innovation of the design of a sports car on a chassis and frame based on the legendary Lotus Super 7, designed by the renowned British designer Colin Chapman. The aim of the work is to use the chassis and frame of the car to design and model a new aggressive bodywork that will meet the current ECE standards. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the standards related to vehicle bodywork are discussed and the requirements related to the design and modelling of the vehicle bodywork are discussed in detail. In addition, the modelling software is described. In the practical part of the thesis, the design is proposed, which is then projected with these requirements of the standards into a 3D model of the vehicle body, which is divided into several parts. Aerodynamic tests are also performed on the resulting model. The result of the work is a finished vehicle body model in a new design that meets the required regulations.
