Abstract

KUNCOVÁ, Andrea. Residential housing, Uherské Hradiště. Ostrava, 2018. Diploma thesis. VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department od Architecture. The diploma thesis theme Residential housing consists of two main parts. First, theoretical, deals with the topic of constructing island cities, it reflects river phenomenon and tries to create structured finishing of the city by multiple analysis. Second part, practical, follows these findings and its output is a proposal of a study of urban island complex in Uherske Hradiste. Selected locality is defined by the historical waterway and its restoring. The proposal includes polyfunctional block with flats, shops and café which will be accessible from three height levels. At the same time the block creates different types of spaces from the sites of square, port and private yard. Proposed port construction will lead to extension of navigable section on the river Morava. The aim of this work is completion of noncompact city structure in the city center of Uherske Hradiste with respect to surrounding nature and industry.
