Abstract
Dissertation thesis focuses on corporate social responsibility, the Baťa management system and based on it model PERMANENT. The main objective of the thesis is to verify hypotheses and provide examples of the use of the principles of Baťa management system in the current business environment in the automotive industry while meeting the
requirements of social responsibility of organizations.
Dissertation thesis is divided into two main parts, the theoretical and practical part.
The theoretical part of the dissertation thesis consists of the first three chapters. The
first chapter describes theoretical knowledge concerning the corporate social responsibility, innovation, motivation, education and relationships with the environment. The second part
contains description of Baťa management system in the four areas surveyed, which are
innovation, motivation, education and development of environment. The third chapter provides basic overview information about model PERMANENT, which is based on Baťa
management system.
The practical part of the dissertation thesis is described in chapters 4 to 8. Chapter
four describes the main and secondary objectives of dissertation in detail, research tasks and its hypotheses and not least the approach and methods used in the preparation of a
dissertation. The fifth chapter describes the actual implementation of research tasks.
Research tasks were defined in four areas, namely innovation, motivation, education and
development of environment. All research tasks have been implemented and tested on three examples: Baťa management system, Volkswagen Slovakia and examples from questionnaire investigation, supplemented with information from interviews with some
representatives of supply companies, and from the social responsibility reports of some
organizations working in the automotive industry. Questionnaire survey was conducted on a global scale, i.e. supply companies from 36 countries from different continents were interviewed. The sixth chapter deals with the evaluation of the obtained results respectively verification of set hypotheses. In the seventh chapter the possibilities of Baťa management system in the automotive industry are described, based on the author's experience and examples from Volkswagen Slovakia. The eighth chapter includes the contributions of the
dissertation thesis and an overall summary of achievements.
Results of dissertation are addressed to companies in the automotive industry as well as businesses operating in other economic sectors. Findings from research tasks can provide valuable information and practical examples of the use of elements of Baťa management system in the current competitive environment. This dissertation is also
designed for university lecturers and college students who are dealing with the issue of Baťa management system.
