Elektronické peníze jako alternativní prostředek směny

Abstract

The subject of my Bachelor’s thesis “Electronic money as an alternative means of exchange” is to evaluate whether electronic money can become an alternative to deposit and cash money and substitute it in current payments. The work consists of three chapters. The theoretical part defines some basic terms related to money and its development. The next chapter is completely dedicated to electronic money and particular systems of electronic money, containing also the results of a questionnaire survey. The last chapter offers a comparison between bank accounts and electronic accounts with respect to financial and transaction costs and from the point of view of possible profits and user comfort. The concluding part of the thesis presents a finding of whether electronic money can become an equal substitute for cash and deposit money or not.
