Abstract

The theoretical part of the thesis deals with a new trend in travelling – Dark tourism. In the first chapter, attention is also paid to tourism in general. Furthermore, the work deals with emotions and motivations in dark tourism. The second chapter focuses on the dark places of tourism in the Czech Republic, specifically Javoříčko, Ležáky, Lety u Písku, Lidice and Terezín. The next chapter deals with the dark tourism in the world.It gathers information on the history of individual monuments. The practical part is focused on the evaluation of the survey and a summary of the whole research.The practical part contains also the processing of visiting individual sites in the Czech Republic.
