Abstract
Ostrava is the third largest city in the Czech Republic. The city has a polycentric structure.
The topic of this thesis is a transformation of microlocalities in an industrial city.
The theoretical section contains information about basic terms that are connected with evolution of the spatial structure of the city, social ecology and neighbourhood. Three localities were choosen (Jubilejní kolonie, Poruba Sorela a Dubina) to show a manifestation of changes coming from deindustrilization of Ostrava.
