Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a 360° camera system for a prototype vehicle developed at Faculty of Material science and Technology. The construction is mainly based on the components that are part of the provided camera system to be installed in the prototype electric vehicle. The introductory part of this thesis starts with summarizing the evolution
of the vehicles' safety features from the past to the current state of safety and the safety technologies used. The second chapter deals with the division and description of the different safety features from the group of active and passive safety. The third part focuses on the camera systems that could be found in vehicles and shows the latest trends. In the fourth and fifth
chapters, the thesis focuses on the actual design, installation, and running the supplied camera system on the SC Titan vehicle model. Finally, the camera system is calibrated, tested and its effect on the safety of the prototype vehicle is summarized.
