Abstract
This thesis presents a comparison of two methods used to measuring air pollution and levels of elements in atmosphere at urban area of Ostrava-Poruba. It is focused to presentation of active biomonitoring by mosses and comparison with standard techniques. Tranplanted mosses of the species Hylocomium splendens and Pleurozium schreberi were analysed to determination of levels of trace elements Al, As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, Ni, Pb, V, Zn. Determination of trace elements was made by atomic absorption spectroscopy and by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy. The results are presented in figures. Concentration of trace elements in each of species in both heights (1 m and 2 m) are compared. Other group of results are concentrations recounted according to blinds for both biomonitors. Protocol about realization of the tests is attached (CNT).
