Abstract
Biomass is one of the ways to reduce quantities of traditional fossil fuels in the metallurgical industry. Charcoal and pellets are good substitute fuels for PCI into tuyeres, but also a replacement for coke dust in agglomeration production, which reduces CO2 emissions in the plant. The aim of this diploma thesis was to perform and compare experimental tests of reduction of agglomerate with biomass fraction as charge in blast furnace and compared to standard industrial agglomerates.
