Abstract
Competitiveness is a term that expresses the success or failure of an enterprise. In today's business world, not only will the strongest or the smartest survive, but the one who can best adapt. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the competitiveness of the company using the application of selected methods. The thesis is divided into two main parts, while the first theoretical part defines the basic concepts of business and competitiveness, including the definition of methods and approaches to its evaluation. In the next part, an analysis of the internal environment of the company is carried out with the help of financial analysis by means of ratio indicators, then the company viability model according to Pollak is applied and the SWOT analysis is used as a summary method. Based on the analyzes, it was found that the evaluated company achieved excellent results in the evaluation of the quantitative method, but achieved worse results in the qualitative field, especially in relation to employees, in relation to the environment and in the overall presentation of the company in schema_dspacedb. Subsequently, the results are summarized and appropriate measures and recommendations formulated that could increase the competitiveness of the trading company in the market of waterproofing and roofing materials.
