This bachelor thesis deals with the negative impact of floods in built-up areas. There are characterized causes of flooding and course. Further factors that affect the course and consequences of floods, which caused flooding. In the analytical part, I used the method of ETA to determine the prospective flooding in urban areas. Part of this work is focused on possible measures to counter their negative effects on the built-up areas or objects. Part of this work is a summary of negative effects of water on the built-up areas or objects.
