Abstract

ABSTRACT This bachelor thesis deals with the sieving issues of metallurgical materials as lump ores and iron pellets which are used as iron carriers for blast furnaces. These materials are supplied by external companies and the quality, especially the content of dust and undersize particles is fluctuating. The stability of iron carries quality (chemical and physical properties) has very strong influence on blast furnace operation. One option how to control the input of undersize particles and dust into blast furnace is to build up a sieving plant. This option was also chosen in Třinecké železárny. In the first part of this thesis you can find analysis of general nowledge from literature and in the second part is described the situation in Třinecké železárny.
