Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with methods of preparation of artificial sandstones. The document contains a summary of materials and methods suitable for their preparation and furthermore shows the mechanical properties, including the durability of the material to be used as an alternative to natural sandstone. The paper deals with the study of geopolymer-based binder systems for the preparation of artificial sandstone. A practical part of the document is also associated therewith, where the author aims to choose a suitable ratio of binder and filler in a mixture of artificial sandstone with a metakaolin-based geopolymer binder.
