Abstract

This thesis is focused on coal face development, preparation and mining in the seam Václav, 5th block, locality 9. květen of the mining plant Důl Darkov. It is specific for inconstant thickness with very hard roof top and in between seams band. Seam characteristics are described in the introduction part. Following part deals with the mining sequence of face preparation and extraction. Further on, based on mining experience in the seams with constant ripping and bands, I propose the mining method, suitable technology for preparation and mining in these hard conditions. In the same time mined coal transportation, material transportation, ventilation and work safety is dealt with. In conclusion technical and economical evaluation is carried out.
