Abstract
This bachelor thesis addresses the use micro-simulation software PTV VISSIM for design modifications to the intersections with regard to safety and traffic flow. After self-select intersections Rudná – 17. listopadu and 17. listopadu – Vřesinská are first obtained and evaluated by simulation input data and other information necessary to evaluate the adjustments.
There were proposed two alternative conversion adjustments. The first option deals with the reconstruction of the two intersections on a standard turbo-roundabouts, the second option deals with reconstruction of the intersection Rudná – 17. listopadu in the Signalized intersection. The two alternative proposals are assessed on the basis of microscopic simulation which Option 2 was selected.
