Uplatnitelnost absolventů Vysoké školy báňské - Technické univerzity Ostrava na trhu práce

Abstract

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na uplatnitelnost absolventů vysokých škol na trhu práce. Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnotit uplatnitelnost absolventů VŠB-TUO na trhu práce. K tomu bylo využito výsledků dvou dotazníkových šetření zaměřených na odborné, obecné a měkké kompetence absolventů VŠB-TUO. Obě šetření měla za úkol zjistit úroveň odborností, dovedností a měkkých kompetencí, a to jak z pohledu absolventů, tak jejich zaměstnavatelů. Při řešení byly použity metody deskriptivní analýzy a komparace. V teoretické části diplomové práce jsou uvedena teoretická východiska související s uplatnitelností absolventů na trhu práce, včetně rešerše vybraných empirických studií. Praktická část obsahuje vyhodnocení dotazníků a jejich porovnání. Následně jsou prezentovány výsledky i za jednotlivé fakulty VŠB-TUO, které jsou v mnoha případech pozitivní. Mírné nedostatky jsou spatřovány v případě úrovně jazyka a některých měkkých kompetencí. Cizí jazyk by mohl být prohlubován v průběhu celého studia na VŠ. Měkké kompetence by mohly být zdokonalovány především pomocí modelových situací v rámci pravidelných cvičení.

The diploma thesis is focused on the employability of university graduates in the labor market. The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the employability of VŠB-TUO graduates. For this purpose, the results of two questionnaire surveys focused on professional, general and soft competencies of VŠB-TUO graduates were used. The main goal of both surveys is to determine the level of expertise, skills and soft competencies, both from the perspective of graduates and their employers. Comparative and statistical methods were used during the process. The theoretical part mentions the theoretical background concerning the employability of graduates in the labor market and also the research of empirical studies. In the practical part, the questionnaires are evaluated and compared. Then, the results for individual faculties of VŠB-TUO are presented and they seem to be positive in many cases. Slight shortcomings are seen in the weak level of language and lack of some soft competencies. The knowledge of foreign language could be deepened during the entire study at the university. Soft competencies could be improved mainly through model situations in regular seminars.
