Výroba vodíku reformováním uhlovodíků s CO2

Abstract

The goal of this bachelor thesis was the preparation of a nickel catalyst and its characterization. The efficiency of this catalyst was experimentally verified for the dry methane reforming reaction and the results were compared with a commercial nickel catalyst. Prepared catalyst NiO on vermiculite doped with MgO, named as SYN20, was prepared by a two-step synthesis. Also, a series of nickel catalysts prepared at the Institute of Environmental Technology (IET) were measured and characterized. The dry reforming experiment of methane was carried out using the catalyst in a quartz bed packed bed reactor at 800 °C. The catalyst with the highest conversions was compared with a commercial NiO catalyst supported on MgO-Al2O3 spinel. The reaction products were analyzed on a gas chromatograph with FID and TCD detectors. A theoretical model of the reaction was created to accurately determine the conversion. The used catalysts were characterized by XRF, XRD, TPR-H2, TPD-CO2 and TOC with TIC.
