Abstract

This thesis deals with wind power, mainly in the Czech Republic. In the first chapters of the thesis describes the historical development and the development of wind energy, with regard to selected regions of the Czech Republic, focusing on the Usti region. There are presented the positive and negative effects of the impact of wind farms in the state and the landscape, fauna and people living near these plants. Part of this work is also an estimate of future development and construction of windmills and their performance in the Czech Republic.
