Abstract

This diploma thesis describes a proposal to create the metadata profile in accordance with the INSPIRE directive and standard ISO 19115. The first part is theoretical, based on an applied literature and standards. The introduction describes the basic concepts and meta-information systems that exist in the Czech Republic. The basis for creating metadata profile is INSPIRE directive and standard ISO 19115, therefore this part is described more in detail. In the second part, called application part, is described structure and metadata of the Czech Statistical Office, in particular from the Register of Enumeration Districts and Buildings. To create the metadata profile is used standard CEN/ISO 19139, which is used for implementation of an XML schema. For better clarity is the resultant metadata profile also displayed in UML(unifying modeling language) and text form.
