Abstract

In the era of the emergence of intelligent chat applications that can produce theses, answer arbitrary questions, or even write pieces of source code, new problems are opening up. People often think that artificial intelligence will solve their problems, even mental ones. However, these tools can't recognize emotions, they don't know how an individual is feeling, and they have no idea what an individual is experiencing. One way to determine emotions is through skin conductance. Through a~special device, most often placed on the fingertips, we can monitor an individual's reactions. In the context of this work, a tool has been developed that allows to create a set of stimuli, then present these to the user while measuring the skin conductance and analyzing his reactions. The software itself was tested on 86 individuals, 68 men and 18 women. As the results suggest, we can categorize the emotional experience of individuals according to the number of peaks and relax score. These results could be used in many fields such as marketing or medicine. Artificial intelligence could use these findings to assess an individual's emotional state and then adapt the responses generated.
