Návrh a výroba dutých kompozitních profilů s experimentálním a simulačním ověřením vlastností

Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the design, manufacture, and comparison of the properties of hollow composite profiles. The main objective was to compare the behavior of purely carbon and hybrid carbon–aramid structures through experimental torsion tests and to verify them approximately using numerical modelling in ANSYS software. When evaluating the results, it was necessary to take into account that failure occurred predominantly in the bonded joint area and that the numerical part was based on a simplified model. Nevertheless, the basic differences in the behavior of the investigated structures were confirmed, particularly the higher torsional stiffness of the carbon specimens and the increased toughness of the hybrid variant. The thesis thus confirms the potential of composite materials for weight reduction while maintaining the required mechanical properties in the automotive industry.
