Abstract

This thesis deals with the occurrence of pesticides in objects of depositories. Due to the large areas of treated objects work is focused only on the issue of the protection of wood. The first two chapters of the search focusing on the nature causes of wood damage and further characterization of selected chlorinated pesticides that may negatively affect the environment and human health, including an overview of the legislation of the Czech Republic, the European Union and international agreements. Third part is focused on the occurrence of chlorinated pesticides in various countries in which they were measured. In the experimental part I deal with analysis of dust in objects of depositories Silesian Museum in Opava, with the aim provide insights into the status of the environment in terms of possible chlorinated pesticides contamination.
