Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a simple path tracer based on the OpenGL compute shader, with capabilities of interactive scene manipulation. The first part is concerned with a brief overview of relevant visualization APIs. Next, the design of the application itself is discussed, which is then followed by details of its implementation. Lastly, the application is tested for performance.
