This thesis deals with specifics of the fire safety of timber buildings, namely description of building structures of timber buildings of family houses, fire resistance of building structures and its evaluation methods. This work also includes a procedure for defining a fire hazard area of timber buildings and defects of timber buildings from the point of view of the fire safety. Finally, the design process is developed fire safety solutions of the selected type of timber buildings.
