Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the selected company on the basis of available data and then evaluate the performance using a modern indicator of economic value added EVA. The thesis is divided into five chapters, where the first chapter is an introduction. The second chapter aims to become familiar with the methodology of company performance evaluation. First, the company performance, financial analysis, cost of capital, and the economic added value indicator of EVA will be generally characterized. The practical part of the thesis starts with the third chapter, which is focused on the introduction of the company XYZ, s. The following fourth chapter uses the theoretical knowledge described in the theoretical part. The economic added value of EVA is calculated according to the methodology of MPO and EVA - Entity, followed by comparison of these two different calculations of economic added value EVA. At the end of the chapter, a comparison of the company with the industry and an overall evaluation of the resulting values ​​will be made. The final part is devoted to a summary and evaluation of the results achieved during the work and proposals to improve the current status. Overall, the company can be assessed as stabilized. The size of equity gives good preconditions for obtaining other sources of finance in terms of optimizing the financial structure
