Abstract

The aim of this work is acquaintance with heavy metals, their more detailed characteristics and by effect in the environment. In work is also in detail described content of heavy metal in waste water and their dangerous properties. There are also explained the current technology used for removing heavy metals from waste water here. A very substantial part of the study of biological methods for removing metals from aqueous solutions and their techniques. This is essentially a mechanism of biosorption and desorption. The last part describes the experimental measurement of sorption and desorption of Zn2+ on acid - activated biomass of japanese knotweed (Reynoutria japonica). From the invasive plants have been used parts of the body, namely stem and leaf. Decisions on the suitability of biosorbents used for sorption and desorption was determined by determining the sorption capacity. Finally, I evaluate the results of experimental measurements.
