Využití strukturálních fondů EU v rozvoji města Vsetín

Abstract

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine, how projects financed from the EU structural funds helped to fulfil the strategic goals of development of the city of Vsetín in the period between 2004-2006. Another goal of this thesis is to closer describe the projects, which had the biggest influence on the change of the overall situation in the city, including their concrete benefits. This bachelor thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter describes the structural policy and its goals during the above-mentioned period, including the possibilies of financing the city development using the operational programmes. The second chapter then deals with the strategic plan of development of the city, the city‘s socioeconomic situation, problems found in its surrounding region and also with the priority areas in development of the city. The third chapter finally summarizes the projects of the EU structural funds along with the benefits, which they brought to the city.
