Abstract

The topic of my bachelors thesis is using of infrared spectroscopy (modified by ATR method) for analysis of oxidation. The aim was also processing the measurement metodology. As samples were used - sunflower oil, varnish and metallic dust. Optical methods are very helpful when you considering changes in the chemical structure of substances. That is why some of them are suitable for evaluating oxidation. In the theoretical part, I conducted a literature review of optical methods. Then I focused on three optical methods (Raman spectrometry, infrared spectrometry, and method of ATR). I mentioned and suggested Raman spectrometry as an alternative for measuring mine solid samples. Because infrared spectrometry measured by ATR was not suitable for solid samples. In the practical part I conducted measurements of liquid and solid samples. I described my practice in detail and then i evaluated the whole measurement. Measuring took place in the laboratory LC 114, FBI.
