Abstract

The presented thesis deals with a fire safety of listed buildings. It is necessary to assess whether the designed alterations are possible from the fire safety requirements point of view when solving the reconstruction of listed buildings, particularly reconstruction containing design of new buildings use. It is not possible to assert the same rules in solving the fire safety for listed buildings as for new buildings judgement. The premises disposition aleterations, the intervention into structural systems from the fire safety point of view, as well the instalation of the fire safety equipments are always necessary to consut with locally autorized The National Heritage Institute. The thesis represents particularities details of the fire safety project solving of listed buildings reconstruction. The appraisal of an existing constructions reliability metodology is stated in CSN ISO 13 822. However, there are not executed the appraisal of an existing constructions methods from the fire resistence point of view in this document. In general, it is possible to get the fire resistence value from large-scale testings of fire resistence, or it is calculated. To prove the acquired fire resistence in practice is most often done by the use of tabular values, which has been obtained by fire testings, and theirs results are then intrapolated and extrapolated. It is very complicated to establish the fire resistence of listed buildings by the large-scale testings from the point of view of authentic structural systems conservation, which would be demaged in case of taking the tests. For the specific case of construction – additionally reinforced vaults – the new metodology of fire resistence appraisal has been elaborated. This new metodology is based on the fundamental principles of the fire resistence appraisal according to the Eurocodes. In this issue solving, one can make a theory based on an assumption that the fire resistance value of additionally reinforced vaults will correspond to the fire resistance value of reinforcing elements, which have been used for reconstruction and rahabilitation. For that reason it is necessary to determine corresponding requirements for the reinforcing elements not only from the point of view of structural analysis but either from the fire safety viewpoit.
