Abstract

The Innovation of Approach to the Evaluation and Selection of Suppliers

This diploma work (thesis) concentrates on selecting and evaluating of suppliers for medium and large machinery companies.

The work is divided into five parts. The first one is introduction to the topic of supplier-customer relations. The second part analyses published data concerning selecting and evaluating of suppliers. The third part introduces the company VÍTKOVICE HEAVY MACHINERY a.s and also analyses their current approach to selecting and evaluating of suppliers. The fourth part is devoted to designing a new methodology for complex supplier evaluation from the perspective of integrated system of management. The last part of this diploma work evaluates the proposal.

The main aim of this diploma work is to design and to implement a new methodology for the process of selection and evaluation of suppliers for medium and large machinery companies.
