Abstract
This thesis deals with the description of the principle of ground penetrating radar technology. Complete measuring apparatus consists of individual components which together form a powerful tool for the detection of subsurface objects in various material structures. More are described specific geo-radar sets, which are used in practice in the security survey, particularly in civil constructions for preventive diagnosis of road and railway communications. The thesis also pointed out the possibility of using geo-radar technology to rescue of victims of emergency incidents trapped under the rubble, or buried under the avalanche. Special attention was given to description of the possibility of using ground penetrating radar technology in the field of safety engineering and particularly in forensic geoscience for the purpose of forensic tracing. For practical verification of suitability of use of the concrete ground penetrating radar system in selectively formed conditions – test field, there were conducted measurements, analysis and evaluation of the data obtained by ground penetrating radar.
