Abstract

The bachelor’s thesis is focused on the clarification of the issues relating to the employment of people with disabilities. The thesis explains the basic concepts associated with disabled persons and also terms that will help in understanding of employment of the disabled. It provides a view of the labor market situation in the Czech Republic, in regards of the disabled. This paper provides an overview of the rights and obligations of the employer in the employment of people with disabilities and highlights the benefits and advantages that such employment brings to the employer. The thesis is also in part devoted to the employment of people with disabilities from the point of view of a specific employer. The aim of the thesis is, therefore, to get familiar with this particular issue through the Czech legislation, relating to the employment of people with disabilities. The work has the task to assess the working conditions of employees with disabilities at the selected employer and in conclusion, recommend and clarify the financial benefits which would flow out of creating a sheltered work position.
