Projekt Open Street Mapping z pohledu Geoinformatika

Abstract

This thesis deals with the OpenStreetMap community project, with the aim to create and provide free geographic data. The first part gives a brief insight to the project, presents its key features and its history. The second part contributes to the discus- sion about creating data based on surveys from low-price GPS recievers, adjust- ments of the project’s wiki to czech environment, proposes the addition of selected czech datasets, demonstrates the project’s utility and points to several problems.
