Abstract

The focus of the diploma thesis is the cultural and social revi talization of the riverfront and the urban development potentia l of the Černá Louka area, which is located in the continually evolving city center and has lost its original function. Propose a conceptual solution that will focus on an urban compo sition that sensitively connects the original and potential new development of multifunctional buildings with the existing str ucture of Ostrava. The design should emphasize the integration of the riverfront c haracter of the Ostravice River area. The project will include the addition of new buildings in such a way that, in combination with open, undeveloped areas, they c reate a distinct new functional urban unit. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to create an architectur al study of a cultural and social building based on the urban s tudy.
