Abstract
This thesis presents a study of petrophysical rock properties that are fundamental in CO2 underground storage projects and provides a general approach to evaluate them. Second chapter defines the most important parameters and outlines methods of their measurement by multiple methods, i.e. laboratory experiments, well tests, and correlations. Review of the approaches taken in various underground CO2 storage projects to evaluate reservoir properties is provided. Subsequent chapter describes the laboratory equipment at the Laboratory of wells and hydrocarbon deposits stimulation under the Faculty of mining and geology. The overview includes operational details and technical limits. Fourth chapter introduces a reservoir Zarosice with geological and technical details. Methodology of analysing the field with respect to its petrophysical parameters relative to underground CO2 storage is presented.
