Abstract

This thesis deals with the European Union´s external relation, focusing on relations with Switzerland, Russia, China, Japan, India and the ACP. It describes the development of these relationships and deals with the common trade and mutual dialogue, held at the summits. Then define the North American free trade area, from the beginning, through institutions, national approaches, to the foreign trade of the member states. Then specify relationship between the European Union and NAFTA, which is based mainly on bilateral agreements among the EU and the USA, Canada and Mexico.
