Abstract

This Diploma Thesis is engaged in comparing efficiencies of an ejector and an AWG turbine jet pump in pumping water from depths exceeding pumping depths of common pumps. To define the efficiency a physical experiment was carried out. The Thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part addresses the possibilities of pumping water from depths. The second and third parts are devoted to the description of an ejector and an AWG turbine jet pump, their technical characteristics and ways of their use. The fourth part describes the physical experiment of measurement of an ejector and a turbine jet pump efficiencies, and evaluation of obtained data. The conclusion summarizes information gained from the experiment. The conclusions of this Diploma Thesis are intended for fire fighting bodies while pumping water from depths.
