Vliv kalcinačních podmínek na vlastnosti anatasové titanové běloby

Abstract

This study examines the effect of heat treatment conditions of the feedstock entering the calcination furnace on the optical properties of anatase titanium pigment. Specifically, the study investigated the influence of temperature and residence time of the material in the furnace. The theoretical part of the thesis covers the classification of pigments, a description of the properties and structure of titanium dioxide, methods of titanium white production, and methods for evaluating TiO₂, including optical properties and particle size measurement. In the practical part, the phase composition of the samples was evaluated, and the optical parameters of the pigment were analyzed according to Precheza’s methodology. Graphical dependencies were created for the evaluation of trends. The graphs were used to describe the relationship between particle size, which increases with rising temperature and residence time, and optical properties. It was found that suitable calcination conditions are: a temperature of 940 °C with a residence time of 80 to 120 minutes, and a temperature of 960 °C with a residence time of 80 minutes.
