Abstract

This diploma work is oriented on the problem of air quantity supply control in an aeration tank depending on ammonia and nitrate concentrations. The work is composed from theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is briefly focuses on characteristic waste water cleaning methods, description of aeration tank processes build in the Central Ostrava Waste Water Treatment Plant. It also deals with ammonia compounds in water, their determination and more describes on-line ammonia and nitrate concentration sensors used in aeration tanks. The practical part concerns evaluation of measured concentrations of individual nitrogen forms, from which the proposition of aeration tank optimal air quantity dosage follows.
