Abstract

Drainage of foundation pits is one of the integral components necessary measures prior to the commencement of the works. With drainage systems we protect pit not only from the surface but also underground water. This thesis describes the types of drainage procedures and their use on the basis of surface dimensions, soil parameters and depth of groundwater. The aim of this thesis is by using theoretical calculations to determine the inflow of water into the foundation pit on the basis of the rate of filtration. Subsequent design and dimensioning of the drainage system. It further automate this procedure and create it in MS Excel.
