Konfigurace virtuálního výpočetního prostředí v malé/střední firmě

Abstract

In this thesis I dealt with installation and configuration of virtual computational environment in middle-sized company Czech Aerosol, a.s. In the first part of the thesis I described the status of data centre of the company where I work (where I am employed) and this data centre is similar to date centers of many small and middle-sized companies in various industrial branches. In the next part (of the thesis) I dealt with selection of software solution for server consolidation in data centre by their virtualization with use of technology and I chose VMware vSphere software. I searched for the appropriate way of configuration with respect to the fact, that there is usually only one administrator in small or middle sized companies who administers the whole computational environment. I dealt with the hypervisor installation and configuration, with virtual communication settings and with linking of virtual switches with physical switches. I dealt with installation and configuration of administrator environment by creating of virtual servers, creating of "templates" and with availability arrangement of these virtual servers. Further I dealt with access rights by sources management and by scaling. In the end I attempted to assess (evaluate) the benefits of virtualization made. The fact which I did not detail in my thesis is, data backup, linking and administration of disk storages and installation of backup sources of power resources. These installations were made but the extent of the thesis does not enable me to describe them.
