Abstract

The main objective of this thesis is analysis of the forest impact on the hydrologic processes using semidistributed and distributed hydrologic models. The area of interest is the Ostravice catchment. The first part describes the rainfall-runoff process, focusing on the influence of forest land cover on runoff conditions and basic principles of rainfall modelling. There are also described a detailed characterization of the area of interest, a description of input data and the models (HEC-HMS, HYDROG, MIKE SHE) and a description of the selected rainfall episodes. The second part focuses on the description of the modelling on the current status of the Ostravice catchment and on prepared scenarios as well to simulate the effect of completely forested catchment runoff conditions. The final part of the thesis presents results of modelling and the final evaluation.
