Abstract
The present work deals with the magnetic field in the vicinity of railway rails. In addressing the
chosen finite element method (FEM), in computer software ANSYS. In this work, are given shape and
value of magnetic fields in the immediate vicinity of the rail, which entered flowing currents. The
result is a comparison of the effects of AC and DC currents.
