Abstract
The master thesis deals with the issue of stability of the western portal of the Čebrať tunnel. The introduction outlines the history of the construction of the D1 motorway in Slovakia. The work continues with an analysis of the change in the tunnel route and the location of the western portal. Subsequently, the technology of excavation of the Čebrať tunnel is approached and a wider area of the construction area of the western portal is specified within the geological, geomorphological and hydrogeological conditions. The technical solution of the construction of the western portal with the specification of the securing elements is also characterized. In the last part, the Plaxis software is used for a stability 2D model of the current solution, then the same software is used for creation and evaluation of the alternative model. Finally, these two models are evaluated and compared.
