Abstract
Annotation
The thesis focuses on optimizing the transportation and excavation of loess at the 1st overburden cut of the Bílina Mine using the bucket wheel excavator K 2000. The research aims to analyse the mechanical and flow properties of loess and assess their influence on the filling and discharge behaviour of the excavator buckets. Detailed laboratory measurements (granulometry, bulk density, friction angles, moisture content, flow function) are combined with operational calculations to identify bottlenecks within the material handling system. Two optimization variants are proposed, with the most effective solution being a structural modification of the bucket design, significantly reducing material adhesion and improving the overall volumetric performance of the excavator. The results of the work provide practical recommendations for improving the efficiency of mining equipment when handling cohesive and poor flowing materials.
