Abstract

The diploma thesis describes characteristics and principle of class D amplifier as well as includes other classes amplifiers description. The thesis starts with theoretical part containing basic report of amplifiers and explanation of class D amplifier operation. After theoretical background, the practical part follows; the design of class D amplifier. The basic element is design of block diagram that forms complete proposal of all single blocks. In the conclusion, the functionality of class D amplifier is verified, measurement of its characteristics and comparison with class AB amplifier is assessed and summarised.
