Abstract

The aim of the diploma thesis is the valuation of the company in the construction industry sector. The market value of the company ABC, s.r.o will be set through cash flow discounting-based methods. Thesis´ results will be kept at company’s management disposal. The methodological part of the thesis is focused on clarifying the fundamental terms, approaches and methodology of the valuation of a company. The aim of the practical part is setting the market value of the company ABC, s.r.o. through cash flow discounting-based methods. Before determining the market value the attention will be paid to the introduction of the company, strategic and financial analysis, long-term financial plan and cost of capital. From methods of valuation there will be used the method of discounted cash flow of entity DCF-Entity, discounted cash flow of equity DCF-Equity, the method of economic value added (of entity) EVA-Entity and economic value added (of equity) EVA-Equity. All methods are applied with the costs of capital set both by accounting method and by market method represented by capital pricing model CAPM.
