Oldřich Sucharda, Ph.D. The aim of the diploma thesis is experimental testing of reinforced concrete beams. Specifically, the mechanical properties will be tested on two reinforced concrete beams, the first with dimensions 4500 x 400 x 150 mm and the second with dimensions 6000 x 400 x 165 mm. The theoretical part of the thesis briefly provides basic information about reinforced concrete and reinforcement, along with the possibilities of testing them. In the experimental part, compressive strength tests on concrete bores, reinforcement identification, tensile strength of reinforcement, monitoring of crack development and resistance to CHRL were performed. These tests are further supplemented by non-destructive testing of beams with a Schmidt hardness tester to determine hardness and an ultrasonic impulsive method to determine the dynamic modulus of elasticity.
