Nástroj pro modelování relační databáze

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem a implementací softwarového nástroje pro návrh schématu relační databáze formou ER diagramu. Nástroj umožní uživateli nejen tvorbu nových schémat databáze, ale také vizualizaci již existujících schémat a jejich následnou modifikaci prostřednictvím grafického editoru. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí, kde první z nich se věnuje různým notacím ER diagramů a srovnáním již existujících nástrojů pro jejich tvorbu. Druhá část se pak zaměřuje na návrh a implementaci jak grafického editoru, tak na problematiku synchronizace ER diagramu s existujícím relačním schématem.

This bachelor thesis deals with a design and an implementation of a software tool to design a~relational database schema using an ER diagram. The tool allows the user both creation of a new schema and a visualization of existing schemas and their subsequent modification using a graphical editor. The thesis consists of two parts where the first part is focused on different notations of an ER diagrams and a comparison of existing ER diagram creation tools. The second part concerns with a design and an implementation of a graphical editor and a synchronization of an ER diagram with an existing relational database schema.
