Abstract

The goal of this thesis is to identify and subsequently create various optical structures of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS).. Four optical structures creation methods are examined and described in the practical part of the thesis. Workflow, evaluation in terms of usability and subsequent measurement of quality parameters are described for each produced optical structure. The next step was the mutual comparison of these methods. Then the aging processes of PDMS and their attenuation effect on the created samples are analyzed. The measurement of the optical Splitter made of PDMS is also examined by an experimental measurement described in another part of this work. The theoretical part contains the basic information regarding the management of light in optical fibers and manufacturing methods of conventional optical fibers.
